Betting
Hit:
A hit means that an additional card has been requested. There is no limit to how many hits you can take so as long as it does not cause the hand to bust.
Stand:
A stand means that you have decided not to receive any additional cards, or hits, and will play that hand head-to-head versus the Dealer's hand.
Split:
If the first two cards in a hand are identical, you may split them into two separate hands by clicking on the SPLIT button. By doing so, an additional bet that is equal to the original one will be placed on each new hand. With the exception of split Aces, play will proceed as usual for both split hands. When Aces are split each hand will only be hit once. The hand that is currently being played will be indicated with a white box over that hand in which will contain that hand's total card value. A hand may be split only one time and there will be no re-splitting. The payout will be 1 to 1 if the outcome of either split hand is a Blackjack.
Double Down:
You may click on the DOUBLE DOWN button to automatically double the original wager and receive one additional card, but only on the first two cards of the hand.
Insurance:
In the event the Dealer's face up card is an Ace, you will be offered insurance against Dealer Blackjack. You may either accept the offer by clicking on the "Insurance" button or reject it by clicking on the "Pass" button. If you decide to accept the Dealer's insurance offer, another wager equal to half of your original wager will automatically be placed.
If, after the hand is played out, and the Dealer has Blackjack, then the insurance wager will be paid 2 to 1 and your original wager is lost if you do not also have Blackjack. If the Dealer does not have Blackjack then the insurance wager will be lost and play will proceed as usual.
If the player wins the hand then the original wager will be paid at 3 to 2. That means if your original wager was $100 then you'll get that back plus and additional $150 bringing the total earnings for that hand to $250.
If you win with a natural blackjack, you will be paid off at 3-to-2 odds, which means you get your original bet back plus 150% profit. (So if you bet ($/£)50 and win with a natural twenty-one, you get ($/£)50 (your bet) plus ($/£)75 (your bet plus half of your bet), which totals to ($/£)125.
